Dante’s bikeway (IT)

The project born in the year of the celebration of the 700th anniversary of the death of the great poet and retraces the road that Dante took to leave Florence and head for Ravenna, and which he recounts in various passages of the “Divine Comedy”
The route winds for about 200 km going up from Florence to the Apennine border of Marradi, to then descend into Emilia Romagna and reach Ravenna.
How we tackled this challenge!
The project took place between two regions, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, with therefore two different managements.
We equipped an assist bike with our TrekPackPro bike version, using our customized Titan, to render a high quality, 11K Street View. and we cycled the entire route, capturing both images and the updated GPS track.
After the capture we reported the missing parts of the track on Google Maps, in order to allow autonomous navigation, and immediately after, we published the Street View.
