The recently built route extends through 50 km (63 with variations) among the green hills famous for producing grapes every year which, through the skilful hand of local producers, will become the much more famous Prosecco, Italian excellence all over the world.

The hills and the particular cultivation of the land in “terraces” is also considered a UNESCO heritage site.

The request to add the Cammino delle Colline del Prosecco came unusually directly from the director of the association, Giuliano Vantaggi, who we later discovered was, in 2012, a Trekker for Google, i.e. the one who carried the heavy Google backpack (aka Trekker) up to the highest peaks of the Dolomites to allow these silly routes to be added to Google Maps, and who therefore knew well the importance of having the newly inaugurated route published on the famous Google platform.

How we tackled this challenge!

The itinerary was conceived and implemented by an excellent designer, Giovanni Carraro, a journalist, but above all a walker and a profound connoisseur of these areas who, for the occasion, did us the honor of guiding us through the discovery of these 60 km within an area rich in history and wine culture.

To get the best possible result in terms of quality of the Street View created, we used the TrekPackPro, our special 360° backpack with 11K resolution. the only one in Italy and one of the few in Europe with such a great resolution and image clarity.

Furthermore, together with the Street View we have added the entire route, divided into 5 stages, on Google Maps as a navigable track, naming it properly.

Goals and results

Some of the goals reached during the project:

63 Km mapped with Street View 11k. technology.

Insertion of the entire route on Google Maps.

Creation of 5 navigable stages individually.

Adding the proper name to the entire path.

Realization of a photo shoot during the capture.
