Chernobyl nuclear plant (UE)
T
The first project done in partnership with Nick was expected and planned a lot due to all the bureaucratic permits need to enter and overall film into a place like the nuclear plant Chernobyl.
The goal was to create an archive of 360° high-definition images to show to the world part of the nuclear plant that is not visitable and do it with the maximum possible quality.
For that reason, we just shot with DSLR cameras and top-quality lenses to archive a bunch of material unique in the world.
During the shooting, the personnel drove us to some restricted places like the control room of reactor number 4 (the blown one) or the one of reactor number 3, where the reactor is turned off but the control room is still active, up to let us shoot the top of the reactor number 3.
After the external shooting including a cooling tower and the firefighter department included the museum, the final part of the shooting was done inside the shield, the coverage that keeps the radiations of the blown reactor under control, where we shot and stay just 15 minutes due to the presence of radiations in the area.
How We Solve This Project
Having just the permits for a single day makes everything very tight, but working in a team, and doing a double check on each phase, we assured to archive all the requested images and part of the external roads as well.
