Antigua and Barbuda, soon on Google Maps!
The end of a long path…
Today, February 4, 2024, the complete mapping project of the two islands of Antigua and Barbuda begins, after a long preparatory process lasting more than two years, since, in the spring of 2022, our COO Dimitar Kunev had his first meeting with ambassador Dario Item in Spain, and they laid down the first basis of the project together.
Roads, internals, and satellite imagery
The project will not only create the Street View of all the roads of the two islands, for a total of approximately 1500 km, but will aim to create a global virtual tour of the beauty and typical features of the two islands, including tourism-oriented businesses.
Furthermore, a dedicated intervention will aim to renew the satellite image of various places, given that the current photos date back to 2017 and therefore some areas have changed, and some of the new constructions, do not appear in the current satellite images.
